About the Artist
Shelley Mangold is a teaching artist, renting studio space in Knoxville’s Fourth and Gill neighborhood. She has stayed active in the Knoxville Jewish community beginning with three years as a preschool teacher at the AJCC Preschool, and has served on BBYO, KJDS, and Temple Beth El boards, CRC and other committees, and volunteering as needed. Shelley has a BA in Art from Adelphi University and a MS in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Tennessee. A former public school elementary gifted education and art teacher, she now teaches adult art workshops. Her work has been shown and sold locally at The Emporium, Arts in the Airport, A1LabArts, Fountain City Art Center, TN Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, and Broadway Studios. Her husband Marc, her four grandchildren, and their parents bring her the most joy these days!
